About LearnDjango

LearnDjango is a project by Will Vincent, a Python Software Foundation Fellow and former Django Software Foundation Board Member. He is the author of three books on Django, co-hosts the Django Chat podcast, and co-writes the weekly Django News newsletter. You can find open-source work on GitHub as well as non-Django writings on his personal website. Previously he worked at multiple early-stage startups including Quizlet and taught computer science at Williams College.

Foundation Work

I am a Django Individual Member and previously served as a Board Member of the Django Software Foundation, the non-profit foundation that runs Django.
Conference Talks

I speak regularly at conferences on Django, most notably DjangoCon US in 2024, 2022, 2019, and 2018. I have also given multiple presentations at the Python/Django Boston meetup in 2025, 2024, 2019 and 2018.

I maintain several popular Django open-source packages, including the Awesome Django repo and the starter project Lithium.
